As a current undergrad, I tend to spend part of my semesters presenting research across the country. Today and tomorrow I find myself in Washington DC. One thing I notice about each new city is how different they are in how they feel. This is quite a beautiful city. It has wide and spacious streets and the low skyline gives it an air of openness. The landscaping is incredible, with themes that range from herb and salad garden street corners, tall trees on majestic lawns, and more traditional tulip and mixed flower beds. An acceptable selection of food is available. This is a busy city, but never to the point you feel rushed or overwhelmed.
